As the 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) approaches, Guangzhou is rolling out its newly upgraded “3E” city service system—Efficient Biz, Easy Go, and Enjoy Life—to warmly welcome global exhibitors and buyers.
The Canton Fair will be held offline in three phases from April 15 to May 5, maintaining an exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters. With 55 exhibition sections and around 74,000 booths, the number of participating enterprises has surpassed 30,000 for the first time, highlighting China’s unwavering commitment to high-level opening-up.
At the April 9 press conference organized by the Ministry of Commerce, Wei Min, Party Secretary and Director of the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, announced that as the host city, Guangzhou is refining its services with meticulous efforts to offer the “3E” experience, delivering the warmth and efficiency of “Guangzhou-style service” to international guests.
"Efficient Biz" Reflects the City's Speed
The five major ports—Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Pazhou Hong Kong-Macao Passenger Terminal, Nansha Passenger Port, among others—serve as the first stops for global buyers arriving in Guangzhou. These ports have now set up exclusive fast-access lanes for Canton Fair attendees, with enhanced multilingual customs guidance services.
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport:
The airport has implemented convenient measures such as priority handling for major and emergency cargo flights, and exemptions for direct round-trip or transfer flights, ensuring faster customs clearance for global exhibits.
During the fair (April 15–19, April 23–27, May 1–5, 2025), a dedicated express shuttle line between Baiyun Airport and the Canton Fair Pazhou Complex will be available.
To the fairground: first bus at 9:00 AM, last at 4:00 PM
To the airport: first bus at 11:00 AM, last at 6:00 PM
Buses will operate on a rolling basis during peak times. Ticket counters at Terminals 1 and 2 will provide priority service to Canton Fair guests. With a valid Canton Fair badge, passengers can enjoy a discounted fare of RMB 35 per person.
One-stop services such as flight, hotel, car rental, tour, and ticket booking are also available. A special counter at Area A for China Southern Airlines, the airport’s base carrier, offers check-in, baggage services, flight info, and creative souvenirs tailored for Canton Fair guests.
During the fair, comprehensive service counters at the airport will provide “door-to-door luggage services” from the fairground or hotel to the airport. The Linghang Lexing platform will dispatch staff to pick up luggage from guests’ locations, offering packing, check-in, and shipping services, enabling a hands-free travel experience.
Pazhou Hong Kong-Macao Passenger Terminal:
Located at 499 Yuejiang Zhong Road, Haizhu District, Guangzhou, this is the city’s only passenger port connecting to Hong Kong in the downtown area. It offers a “sea-air intermodal” service, allowing passengers to complete check-in and baggage drop-off procedures in one place. After passing through customs and immigration, travelers can board a ferry directly to Hong Kong International Airport, enjoying a “board and fly” seamless experience. A special fast-access lane is also in place for Canton Fair participants to enable quick, contactless customs clearance.
Nansha Passenger Port:
A temporary immigration lane has been set up to process 24/240-hour transit permits, offering expedited, personalized services for eligible foreign guests.
Furthermore, 69 designated hotels for international buyers located across six districts including Haizhu, Tianhe, and Yuexiu, have set up convenient counters for Canton Fair credential processing, allowing buyers to register immediately upon arrival at their hotel.
